That through her flesh, methinks, is seen

The brighter soul that dwells within;

Our eyes the subtle covering pass,

And see that lily through its glass.

Abraham Cowley

Twenty-three year-old Ahn Nari was born in the U.S. At ten, after the shocking death of her parents, her godfather brought her to live with him at his home in Seoul, South Korea.

Fate isn’t kind to Nari. Three years ago, her godfather, Uncle Ahn Ji-U, died, as well, leaving Nari to find her own way as a single young woman in a foreign land.

The mysterious CEO of Yoo Law Firm takes her under his wing without any explanation and helps her fledgling chauffeur business thrive. With a select list of passengers hand selected by Yoo SangHoon, Nari finds a way to overcome her social anxiety and make friends among the powerful elite. Everyone knows Nari as a kind and compassionate girl, who will go to great lengths to help those in need.

Just as Nari is the angel in everyone’s eyes, Yun JiHo is the proverbial devil. The twenty-seven-year-old confirmed bachelor is Yoo Law Firm’s lead detective, and for good reason. When he sees powerful men doing terrible things, he lays waste to their career with both horns.

Yoo SangHoon sees something in JiHo others miss. An orphan, himself, JiHo has made it his mission to mentor at-risk teen boys. Among the rumors of his womanizing and cold disposition, JiHo has a heart begging to be warmed.

Until Yoo SangHoon introduces him to his exclusive female driver, JiHo is quite content playing the field. The moment his auburn eyes look into her deep blue ones, JiHo knows he will never be the same. He sets his sights on her and like everything that piques his curious mind, refuses to let go, especially when he discovers Nari’s secrets.
